Oysters Oishi Recipe
12 oysters, shucked and arranged on a platter
¼ cup tamari or soy sauce
½ teaspoon wasabi powder or paste
1 teaspoon diced scallion
Getting Oysters on the Platter
Wash and scrub the oysters in cold water. Spread uncooked rice, dry beans
or shaved ice on a platter or plate – this will keep the oysters level when
serving. Shuck the oysters – see Connor’s video below – and place them carefully
on the rice, beans or ice. Now they’re ready for the preparation.
Directions for Oishi
Place small piece of pickled ginger on each oyster. Mix tamari or soy with wasabi and add scallion. Spoon sparingly over oysters. Serve.
