Russian Oysters Recipe
12 oysters, shucked and arranged on a platter
½ cup sour cream
2 teaspoons chopped scallion
1 oz. black Tobiko caviar
Getting Oysters on the Platter
Wash and scrub the oysters in cold water. Spread uncooked rice, dry beans
or shaved ice on a platter or plate – this will keep the oysters level when
serving. Shuck the oysters – see Connor’s video below – and place them carefully
on the rice, beans or ice. Now they’re ready for the preparation.
Russian Oyster Directions
Mix sour cream and scallion and place a teaspoon on each oyster. Top with 1/8 teaspoon of caviar and serve.
