Simple Scalloped Oysters

24 oysters, shucked
½ cup butter, melted, plus more for buttering cookware
1 cup cream
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup coarse Ritz cracker crumbs

Preparing and Shucking Oysters

Wash and scrub the oysters in cold water. Watch the video below to learn how to shuck the oysters.

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix cream and Worcestershire sauce together. Butter eight small ramekins. Layer three shucked oysters in bottom of each. Top oysters with 2 tablespoons cream mixture and 1 tablespoon melted butter. Spread 2 tablespoons cracker crumbs on top. Bake for 15 minutes or until cream starts to bubble. Sprinkle with black pepper to taste before serving. This can be made in a larger baking dish as a casserole.
